Founded by Dominique Marcano, a passionate home cook and parent/Auntie of three, our kitchen was born from a deep love for family, food, and tradition. After relocating two years ago to create a better life for her family, Dominique found inspiration in the quiet moments and the joy of cooking at home. What began as a personal journey quickly evolved into a vision for something greater. Encouraged by her spouse, Dominique decided to turn her culinary passion into a business. The name “Coot’s Soulful Kitchen” honors the memory of her spouse’s grandmother, affectionately known as “Coot”—a woman remembered for her warmth, generosity, and love of cooking. Though Dominique never met her, her legacy lives on in every meal served. This venture also pays tribute to Dominique’s late stepson, whose love for food and frequent requests for home-cooked meals continue to inspire the heart behind the kitchen. Together, their spirits guide our mission: to serve comforting, soulful meals that bring people together. At Coot’s Soulful Kitchen, we understand the demands of everyday life.
